Many organizations have become involved in implementing measures to address the rapidly unfolding issue of global warming, primarily driven by the swift changes in climate. These changes have been a major catalyst for organizational operations worldwide.

In Thailand, the agricultural sector has been planting various crops such as rice, sugarcane, maize, and cassava for export to other countries. However, the population in the agricultural sector faces challenges in terms of income, with the highest number of people but the lowest average income compared to other industries.

Consequently, efforts to increase productivity and implement measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions progress very slowly.

This time, we have invited Sagri Company, a joint venture between Japan and Singapore, to share their knowledge on sustainable agricultural practices with seminar participants.

Sagri specializes in providing services to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural industry, utilizing satellite technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to develop and enhance agricultural processes for increased efficiency, ensuring sustainable farming practices.

Additionally, Sagri can simulate appropriate chemical fertilizer quantities for crop cultivation in fields using satellite data and proprietary AI systems developed internally within the organization. This is another way to support increased agricultural productivity and resource management efficiency in the future.

If farmers have been using excessive fertilizer, reducing the fertilizer application to a level equivalent to the simulation results allows them to maintain the same crop yield while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions and cutting down on fertilizer costs. Additionally, it is possible to decrease the damage to the land caused by chemical fertilizers, thereby providing support for the creation of a sustainable crop production cycle.

Furthermore, Sagri has a unique business model in which it collaborates with companies and organizations in the agricultural sector to support farmers together, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from chemical fertilizers, generating carbon credits, and sharing the profits from selling these credits with partner companies that aid farmers.
